Guided Walks
We offer an exciting programme of guided walks that will enable you to explore the Dorset countryside with an experienced and knowledgeable guide. Most walks will visit a traditional pub for lunch. If this is not possible, please remember to bring sufficient food for a picnic lunch and plenty of water.
During the summer months, and if the weather is warm, we may be able to stop at a safe, sheltered beach for a quick swim.
Guided Walks Examples
Coastal walk and swim
- Ringstead, White Nothe, Osmington Mill. Enjoy a circular walk enjoying the SW Coast Path and some of the best views of the Jurassic Coast and a visit to Osmington Mills where in days gone by, the rugged landscape made it the perfect haunt for smugglers!
Piddle Valley
- Explore the Dorsetshire Gap, a mysterious junction of five tracks with steep man-made cuttings that was the hub of central Dorset from the Middle Ages, and the lost buildings of Lyscombe.
Cerne Valley
- Cerne Abbas, a well-preserved historic village nestling in the valley of the River Cerne, among the steep chalk downland of central Dorset. It is also home to the Cerne Giant, an ancient naked figure sculpted into the chalk hillside above the village
